What I’m doing Update

You’ve probably never been here before so nothing is apparently new, but it is for me. I’ve revamped mdjensen.com from a one page static site to a blog. I’m not new to blogging, I’ve blogged for years on SoloSEO.com and some other pet projects of mine. These days I do more tweeting, facebook status updating, and now Google plus’ing than blogging, but you get the picture.

Read on for a bit of an update, probably more so for myself, of where I’m at, what I’m doing, and what’s coming up.

Where I’m at

I’m currently residing in Vancouver, Washington, my hometown. It’s not that I never left, because I’ve been gone for 14 years when I left for BYU Provo at the ripe age of 17. Since then I have lived in Provo Utah (BS Nutritional Science), Arizona (2 year LDS mission), Columbia Missouri (PhD Biochemistry), and St George Utah (3 years, just for fun).

I have a wonderful wife and 4 awesome kids, Ethan, Emma, Aaron, and Adam. If I could just enjoy them full-time that would be the best job in the world. We love playing games, watching movies, hiking and camping, and cooking together.

What I’m doing

For work I wear a lot of hats. I founded LDSScriptures.com and we have a suite of mobile apps on multiple platforms, including the best LDS Scriptures App out there for all major mobile devices. I co-founded SoloSEO.com (now private), AppliedContent.com, EdgeAbove.com, SyncBox.com (coming soon), and Send.ly (also coming soon). My business partner (and best friend), Aaron R. Stewart, is an inspiration and we have a blast working together, even if it is 1200 miles away.

When I’m not working (if that exists) I’m enjoying my family, running (training for marathons), reading (political/spy thrillers and American history), or cooking (I love to cook AND bake!). I really enjoy Choffy (brewed chocolate and a healthy and tasty drink) so don’t be surprised to hear me mention that randomly.

What’s Coming Up

I have a lot of things going on, and great teams that keep everything moving forward. We hope to hit something out of the park soon, it sure feels like it’s coming. I’m always thinking of new app ideas, and also keeping up with social media marketing which is the best word of mouth marketing vehicle for my businesses.

Lots more to come!

Got something to say? Go for it!
